Training for the Triathlon competition will take place at three (3) venues:
Eton Manor, the Redbridge Cycling Centre and the Newham Sports Complex.

The training venues will all be available to athletes from 16 July 2012, the day the Olympic Village opens, until the end of the competition. Training sessions will be open to the media. All training equipment will be approved by the ITU, and will comply with Rule 51 and the Bye-law to Rule 51 of the IOC Olympic Charter.

Swimming: Eton Manor

Swimming training will be held in one of the five (5) temporary pools at Eton Manor in the Olympic Park. Athletes will be granted open access to the pool during opening hours, details of which will be communicated to teams in due course, with no need to book sessions. Facilities at Eton Manor will include:

–– changing rooms and showers (separate facilities for men and women)
–– lounges for athletes
–– catering services
–– medical facilities
–– doping control

Cycling: Redbridge Cycling Centre

The road circuit at Redbridge Cycling Centre in east London will be available to all teams for cycle training. Athletes will be granted open access to the circuit during opening hours, with no need to book sessions. Athletes will be able to use a two (2)-mile closed-road circuit at Redbridge Cycling Centre, and will also be able to train on the open roads surrounding the venue. Information on the transportation of cycles to and from the training venue will be confirmed to teams in due course. Facilities at Redbridge Cycling Centre will include:

–– changing rooms and showers (separate facilities for men and women)
–– lounges for athletes
–– catering services
–– bike mechanics
–– bike racks
–– medical facilities
–– doping control

Running: Newham Sports Complex

Running training will be held on the eight (8)-lane, 400m track at the Newham Sports Complex. Athletes will be granted open access to the track during opening hours, with no need to book sessions. Facilities at the Newham Sports Complex will include:

–– changing rooms and showers (separate facilities for men and women)
–– catering services
–– physiotherapy, ice baths and other services for athletes
–– a press area, where accredited media may conduct interviews with athletes at
prearranged times after training
–– medical facilities
–– doping control
