In 1993, at age 16, he had an accident at the motocross provincial championships. He broke five cervical vertebrae and lost the use of his legs.
Start of sporting career
He began training for para-triathlon in 2007.
To compete at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He also aims to open his own massage therapy school after the Games in Rio de Janeiro.
He owns a sports massage therapy clinic named Zone Action, located in the physical education and sport department of Laval University in Quebec City, Canada.

Athlete Injuries: In 2014 he missed two months of action after an operation on his arm, he returned to training in May that year. He suffered from a forearm compartment syndrome injury in 2008 and missed several years of competition as a result.
