Athlete Biography
I’ve always enjoyed swimming and running, and I started triathlon when invited by Mark Stride, who founded Viper, from discussions on the TriTalk forum which tried to get as many visually impaired athletes as possible to take part in the 2008 London Excel triathlon. Also, I have a family history in sport, as my older brother is a gold medalist at swimming (Masters, Sheffield).
My personal best swim time (750m) is 13:00, bike (20km) 29:28, and run (5km)18:28. My favorite ITU race has been Athlone, Ireland, as the place was so nice. My triathlon goals are to become a better athlete and to encourage other visually impaired people to take up sport.
My time is split between triathlon, work, and my family.
