ITU/ASTC rules applied unless otherwise stated. The LOC reserves the right to apply local rules whenever it deemed expedient.

Olympic distance for Elite Open, Under 23 and Age Groupers – 1.5 km Swim, 40 km Bike, 10 km Run.

Sprint distance for Juniors (16~19 years old) – 750 m Swim, 20 km Bike, 5 km Run.

All day Arrival of participants and officials

20th August, Saturday:

15:00 Race briefing at the official hotel, Hyatt Regency in Taipa.
16:00 Coach departure from Hyatt Regency to site recce.
17:00 – 19:00 Registration and race packet pick-up at the parking lot of Hyatt Regency. (All competitors)
17:00 – 19:00 Bike check at the parking lot of Hyatt Regency. (Elite competitors only)

21st August, Sunday:

04:30 Elite Open, Under 23 and Junior competitors gather at Hyatt Regency, Taipa.
04:45 Coach departure from Hyatt Regency to race start venue.
05:00 Registration at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre transition area.
05:45 Final call for Elite competitors at Race Start area.
05:50 Elite transition closed.
05:55 Age Groups and Relay Team competitors gather at Hyatt Regency, Taipa.
06:00 Elite race start.
06:05 Age Groups and Relay Team coach departure from Hyatt Regency.
06:45 Final call for Age Groups and Relay Team competitors at Race Start area.
07:00 Age groups / Relay team transition closed.
07:10 Age groups / Relay team race start.
09:15 Transition open for Elite Open, Under 23 and Junior competitors to collect bikes and personal items.
11:00 Race finished. Transition open for all competitors to collect bikes and personal items.
