TRAINING FACILITIES
There are numerous traning facilities available across the Sunshine Coast. Visit http://www.usmevents.com.au/mooltri/itu_guide.html#train for details on local Aquatic Centres, Running Tracks, Gymnasiums, Cycling Clubs and suggested routes, and multi-purpose training facilities.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
For any teams traveling to compete in the Mooloolaba ITU World Cup and requiring a letter of invitation for visa requirements please e-mail angela@usmevents.com.au. We will organise a formal invitation letter to be sent.

Buses depart from the Landmark Hotel, Mooloolaba at 3:30pm for the University of Sunshine Coast.

Please note all athletes MUST be present at Athlete Reigstration, Uniform Check and Briefing to be eligible to compete in the ITU Mooloolaba BG World Cup Race. If athletes do not have private transport they must use the bus transfer provided at 3.30 pm from the Landmark Resort, Mooloolaba.

7:00pm Elite Athlete Pre Race Meal
(The Esplanade, Mooloolaba)

All athletes will be provided with a bus transfer from the University of the Sunshine Coast back to the Landmark Resort, Mooloolaba at the completion of the Elite Athlete Briefing (approx 6:00pm). From here the athletes can walk to the Pre Race Meal.

Journalists are welcome to attend the 2008 Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival – ITU Moolooaba BG World Cup Triathlon from Friday March 28 to Sunday March 30.

We request that journalists wishing to attend the Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival please complete an accreditation form to assist us help you get the best out of your attendance.

Please visit http://www.usmevents.com.au/mooltri/media_centre.html and download the ‘2008 MOOLOOLABA TRIATHLON FESTIVAL & ITU WORLD CUP APPLICATION FOR MEDIA ACCREDITATION’ form.

Athletes are available for individual interviews on arrangement through the Media Manager, Lisa Pringle.

Accreditation is a means of identification for attendance at particular events and allows access to some restricted areas. It also makes it possible for officials to extend every courtesy to you.

Following receipt of your application, you will be able to receive updates on developments with the event and press releases distributed before the event. A media pass, a media kit and further details of the event will be made available to you from the Media Manager, at USM offices by phoning 0417 005 743 prior to the event, or from the media centre. The media centre will be located at the Mooloolaba Surf Lifesaving Club and will be open from Friday 28 March at 12noon to Sunday 30 March at 6pm.

The Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival reserves the right to refuse or withdraw accreditation at any time and is subject to ITU approval.

Closest Airport

Sunshine Coast Domestic Airport is approx 15mins by road north of Mooloolaba.
Brisbane International airport is approximately 80mins by road south of Mooloolaba.

Local Transportation

Athlete Transfers will be provided to all ITU Athletes competing in the Mooloolaba BG World Cup within the 6 days prior to the event (arriving on or after Monday 26th March 2008) and the 2 days following the event (departing on or prior to Tuesday 1st April 2008). Those athletes arriving/departing within this timeframe and requiring transfers must advise flight details - arrival / departure dates, times, and flight numbers by Monday 17th March 2008. Athletes arranging transfers will receive confirmation after Monday 17th March via email. 

Non-Elite athletes and coaches may pay for the same transfer as their athletes - $30.00AUD Brisbane Airport or $15.00AUD Sunshine Coast Airport each way plus $10.00 per bike. Those not travelling with World Cup Athletes must make alternate arrangements.
