Bike   -  7.6km x 5 laps
Run 2 -  2.5km x 2 laps

1st Run Course:
Number of laps: 4

Athletes will leave transition and turn right along North Circular Road. Road will turn left coming on to OCallaghan Strand where a slight incline will bring to a junction with Sarsfield bridge. Athletes will pass straight through junction and continue down slight decline on OCallaghan Strand. Athletes will run to 180 degree turnaround point before junction with High Road beside Treaty Stone (local landmark) and come back along OCallaghan Strand to junction at Sarsfield Bridge. At junction Athletes will turn left and proceed across Sarsfield Bridge. After crossing bridge athletes will proceed down a short decline before turning left on Liddy St. Athletes will stay on Liddy St and veer left around old supermarket building to a 180 degree turnaround point. Athletes will then proceed to Arthurs Quay park beside river with ramp allowing access over high kerb. Athletes will complete loop of the park bringing them back to Liddy St where they will turn right and proceed back over Sarsfield Bridge to complete one lap at junction of OCallaghan Strand/Sarsfield Bridge/Clancy Strand. At the end of fourth lap athletes will turn left at this junction to continue back along OCallaghan Strand onto North Circular Road and turn left into transition.

Bike Course:
Number of laps: 5 laps of 7.6km final distance to be calibrated using a Digital Trundle Wheel.

Bikes will exit transition west ward on a slight downhill slope to the first corner then onto a straight before a tight left hand bend at a small roundabout. 30m after the roundabout bikes turn sharp left onto Condell road and then onto the Shannon Bridge. At the end of the bridge they will turn 180 degrees just before the roundabout. Bikes will then progress back over the bridge and out the Condell road which is a very good surfaced straight road. There is a narrowing at a pedestrian crossing to watch out for, before coming to the first roundabout where the hard shoulder narrows so caution advised. Bikes ride straight through this round about up a slight incline where they will complete another 180 degree turn just before the Coonagh/Travel Lodge/Eddie Rockets roundabout. Bikers will then progress back along this road, through the next round about, through the narrowing at the pedestrian crossing and take the next sharp left turn. They will progress through the small roundabout on the left hand side and proceed up the hill for 250 meters to the Ennis road junction. At the junction they will turn 90 degrees right onto the Ennis road and progress down to the Ennis Road toward the Strand Hotel. Just after the hotel they will turn right back down hill in through transition and complete the first of 4 laps -  this lap will then be repeated 3 additional times. On entering Transition the 4th time athletes will dismount and make their way to the bike rack to commence their 2nd run.

2nd Run Course:
Number of laps: 2

The run course is the same with the only difference being at the end of the second lap Athletes will proceed straight through junction of OCallaghan Strand/Sarsfield Bridge/Clancy Strand to finish line in front of Strand Hotel.
