Germany's Anne Haug proved the best of a small but high quality field at the ITU Mooloolaba World Cup on Australia's Sunshine Coast, running clear of Jodie Stimpson, Emma Moffatt and Andrea Hewitt to victory.
Spain's Javier Gomez got his 2013 season off to a stunning start with his thirteenth career World Cup victory in Mooloolaba on Saturday, finishing ahead of the USA's Matt Chrabot and Australia's Peter Kerr.
Six athletes sat on the athlete panel to preview their form and expectations leading into the SUBARU Mooloolaba ITU Triathlon World Cup on Australia's Sunshine Coast.
In its seventh year as the World Cup series opener and its 11th appearance on the ITU calendar, Mooloolaba sets the tone for the World Cup circuit this weekend with names like Andrea Hewitt and Javier Gomez on the start list.
