In 2013, Powerman Zofingen is going to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The history of the Powerman, the most important duathlon event worldwide, taking place in the heart of Switzerland since 1989, is full of drama and emotions. Only in Zofingen do the world’s best triathletes, duathletes and athletes of other endurance disciplines compete in the same race. To finish the Powerman Zofingen at least once is a must in the career of every longdistance enthusiast. Some finishers even claim that the Powerman is more demanding than the Ironman. Also therefore the international triathlon union (ITU) accomplishes the long distance world championships already 2013 for the 6th time in Zofingen. In Zofingen quality comes before quantity. We welcome you at the Powerman Zofingen 2013!
Option1: Interested elite and age group athletes contact the national federation of their own country. After a nomination, the federation will enter athletes in the official ITU system. This entry will be accepted from LOC (Powerman) as authorization for the ITU World Championships (elite or age-group). Additional, LOC needs for these athletes an email confirmation with the complete personal record (name, birthday, address, email, category) from the national federation to add them to the ITU World Champs start list of LOC. After the registration deadline end of July, LOC sends an invoice for the entry fees for all entered athletes of nations with still open payments.
Option 2: Elite and age-group athletes who have to pay their entry fee by their own, have to enter by their self in the online registration system of the LOC. They pay by credit card or bank transfer the current entry fee. After registration all are first entered in the “open” category on the start list of LOC. Following confirmation by the federation through the entry in the official ITU system, LOC will they transfer to the ITU start list of LOC.
Note: Without the confirmation of the national federation at the right time (31th July) and without payment before the event, NO bip number is given out and start at the race is NOT possible! All athletes who will compete in an “open category” will be ranked outside from World Championships.
For National federations: Please check your national athletes who signed in already in the LOC start list! You can see at our “Overall Open Long Distance” start list at any time any athletes who are interested to compete in an ITU race category of your country. They are registered with “AK or Elite” in the column “Application ITU”. Only when these athletes are registered in the official ITU system by the local federation, they are transferred from LOC from the open to the ITU world championships start list (of LOC)
