Master’s Programme in Sport and Olympic Studies offered in Japan

The Tsukuba International Academy for Sports Studies (TIAS) in Japan is offering 15 scholarships to take part in the Master’s Programme in Sport and Olympic Studies. This is an extraordinary opportunity to study in Japan and be part of the 2020 Olympic experience.

Professors from the University of Tsukuba, together with guest speakers and educators from around the world, will share knowledge and expertise students. This eighteen-month experience will provide a pathway for educating and inspiring leaders for future generations.

To participate in the programme, applications must be sent before March 3, and the course will start in October 2017. Further to a unique academic and cultural experience in Japan, TIAS also will provide students with hands-on practical experience which aims to enhance their creativity and productivity and make them an invaluable part of the Olympic and Paralympic movement. Students will also participate in a number of field trips to sport venues and events.

The University of Tsukuba, located 45 minutes from Tokyo, has a history of involvement in the Japanese Olympic Movement stretching back over 100 years. Constantly in contact with the IOC & other international sporting bodies, the University has been a driving force in Japanese sport.
