Foto ITU del Año 2012: resultado semana cinco

En la quinta semana del concurso de la Foto ITU del Año 2012, la foto ganadora lo hizo por el mayor margen hasta la fecha: la toma de la atleta que irradia serenidad antes de la carrera se quedó con el 50% de los votos

La toma de Fabienne St. Louis sentada sobre sus pies, los ojos cerrados y la cabeza inclinada en dirección al cielo genera un poderoso sentimiento de paz. Su pose de yoga se yuxtapone con la de otras atletas preparándose para la carrera, demostrando los nervios y ansiedad propios de la previa de una competencia de triatlón.

Su cuerpo fuerte y quieto transmite un sentimiento de comodidad en medio del caos, parece estar dando gracias a los dioses del triatlón por su capacidad para correr, y recordando al espectador lo importante que este deporte es en su vida.

En contraste, la segunda foto más popular fue la de Richard Murray celebrando con júbilo su primer título de la serie mundial de triatlón ITU. En la toma, Murray se muestra agradecido a los dioses del triatlón pero de modo totalmente diferente, literalmente salta de felicidad.
