2006 was a season full of drama. We saw remarkable victories, great successes, unexpected defeats and witnessed some of the best racing the world has to offer. At the end of the year we asked the athletes to review their 2006 season and talk about their goals for 2007.

5x5: Five questions, five replies.
He has got three gold and two silver medals from six World Championships. Lausanne was the first where he was not able to increase his medal-collection since 2000. No doubt the triple world champion PETER ROBERTSON will go for his 4th world title in 2007.

1. How was your 2006 season?
- My 2006 season was ok. It wasn’t great, but at the same time it wasn’t bad.

2. What was the most remarkable moment of your season?
- My most memorable moment of the season was winning a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. This was were I grew up and lived until I was 21yrs old, so this was a special race for me.

3. What was the worst moment of 2006 season?
- My worst moment was when I missed the break away on the bike in the world champsionships in Lausanne. I believe this cost me a medal, the first time I have missed a medal at the world champs.

4. How/Where/With whom do you spend the Christmas?
- I will be having Christmas with my whole family, at my home in Perth. My parents, 3 sisters, their husbands and my 7 nieces and nephews will all be staying with me. This will be a great time together, as I always love spending time with my whole family.

5. What is your plan/expectation for 2007? (main goals/events for 2007)
- My goals for 2007 are to win my 4th world title and to qualify for the 2008 Olympics.

5x5: PETER ROBERTSON a por el 4º título de Campeón del Mundo (19 de Diciembre de 2006)

Ha sido una larga temporada de triatlón la de 2006. Pudimos ver notables victorias, grandes éxitos, fracasos inesperados, asombrosos cambios a lo largo y ancho del mundo. Al finalizar el año pedimos a los atletas que revisasen su temporada 2006 y nos hablasen de sus metas para la temporada 2007.
5x5: cinco preguntas – cinco respuestas
Tiene tres medallas de oro y dos de plata de seis Campeonatos del Mundo.
Lausanne fue la primera en la que no fue capaz de incrementar su colección de medallas desde 2000. Sin duda el triple campeón del mundo PETER ROBERTSON irá a por su 4º título mundial en 2007.

1. Como ha sido tu temporada 2006?
- Mi temporada 2006 ha estado bien. No ha sido genial pero al mismo tiempo no ha sido mala.

2. Cual ha sido el mejor momento de tu temporada?
- Mi mejor momento de la temporada fue ganar la medalla de bronce en los Juegos de la Commonwealth de Melbourne. Ahí es donde crecí y viví hasta que cumplí los 21, por lo que fue una carrera especial para mí.

3. Cuál fue el peor momento de la temporada 2006?
- Mi peor momento fue cuando perdí la escapada en bici en el Campeonato del Mundo de Lausanne. Creo que aquello me costó una medalla, la primera vez que no consigo una en el Campeonato del Mundo.

4. Como/Dónde/Con quién pasarás las navidades?
- Pasaré las navidades con toda mi familia en mi casa de Perth. Mis padres, mis 3 hermanas, sus maridos y mis 7 sobrinos y sobrinas, estarán todos conmigo. Pasaremos un buen rato todos juntos, siempre me ha gustado pasar el tiempo con toda la familia.

5. Cual es tu plan/expectativas para 2007? (metas/eventos para 2007)
- Mis metas para 2007 son ganar mi 4º título del mundo y clasificarme para los Olímpicos de 2008.
