ITU announces Paratriathlon classification opportunities for 2017

ITU is pleased to announce the 2017 paratriathlon classification opportunities for athletes at several ITU paratriathlon events. Please note that all athletes will need to undergo classification except for those in the PTVI class (former PT5).

Paratriathlon will now offer six sport classes, as opposed to five. Furthermore, the former PT1 class split into two sub-classes. Under this new classification, all sport classes will be renamed.

Sarasota CAMTRI Paratriathlon American Championships: 8-10 March 2017
Gold Coast ITU World Paratriathlon Series: 5-7 April 2017
Yasmine Hammamet ATU Triathlon African Championships: 4-5 May 2017
Yokohama ITU World Paratriathlon Series: 10-12 May 2017
Besancon ITU Paratriathlon World Cup: 1 – 3 June 2017
Kitzbühel ETU Triathlon European Championships: 13 – 15 June 2017
Magog ITU Paratriathlon World Cup: 12-14 July 2017
ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Rotterdam: 12 – 14 September 2017

ITU will be offering Classification seminars together with the following events:
Sarasota CAMTRI Paratriathlon American Championships: 6-7 March 2017
Gold Coast ITU World Paratriathlon Series: 3-4 April 2017.
Kitzbühel ETU Triathlon European Championships: 11 – 12 June 2017

Additional classification opportunities (also for PTVI sport class) and seminars will be announced at a later date when confirmed.
