Function: Intern
Activity level: 100%
Department: Sport
Period: 15-July 2013 to 15-October 2013 (3 months)
Location: Lausanne

MISSION

- Provide administrative support to the ITU Sport Department
- Administer ITU sanctioned events
- Administer ITU Sport Department and ITU Development related databases
- Assist in the coordination of meetings and Skype Conference Calls
- Contribute generally to the work of the ITU

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Sport Administration
- Athletes database management
- Skype Conference Call coordination – Events/Technical Delegates
- Information update on the Event website for ITU sanctioned events
- Inventory shipment

Technical Operations
- Timing companies, Medical Delegates, In-competition Anti-Doping tests database management
- Technical Documents report filing and circulation to all parties
- TOs newsletter information coordination
- Technical Delegate/Assistant Technical Delegate information package at Continental level
- Event Organiser Manual, Technical Officials Guide – updates

Paratriathlon
- Classification check on Paratriathlon entries and follow-up on temporary classification

Development
- Development database management
- Filing for development projects
- Certification management
- Updates (archive) on http://www.triathlon.org/development

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCES
- Experience in administration
- Knowledge of sport and the Olympic movement
- Strong work ethic and attention to quality and detail
- Precision, speed and accuracy in performing tasks
- Ability to filter information and assess priorities
- Working in a small close-knit team environment
- Sense of confidentiality
- Good knowledge of office management software (all Microsoft Office) and IT tools (SharePoint)
- Fluent in English - good knowledge of French will be an advantage
