Mario Mola receives Spanish Royal Order of Merit

Spanish speedster Mario Mola, who was recently named recently proclaimed runner-up in the World Series, on Monday received the bronze medal of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit at the hands of Miguel Cardenal, president of the Superior Council of Sports (CSD).

The award was given this Monday at the presentation of Club Deportivo Sacyr, a sponsor of Mola. Mola was accompanied by his partner and triathlete, Carolina Routier and the president of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, José Hidalgo. Mola has landed in Madrid after winning the final round of the Grand Prix of Nice, held this past Saturday. Mola will next debut in mid-distance triathlon in the Challenge Mallorca Paguera next October 17.
