[image2_right] Richard Brady, racing for www.vowto.co.uk placed 3rd at the first Round of the National Triathlon Grand Prix, in Ellesmere, Shropshire. Richard exited the 1500m swim a little down on the leaders, gained time on the 40km cycle, in strong blustery winds, and finished with a strong run over the 10km, to finish 3rd in an overall time of 1hr 57min 56sec.

Richard said that he was really pleased with the result especially as he is in heavy training (22hrs in the week before the race) for Ironman Switzerland, in 4 weeks time, where he hopes to qualify for for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii in October.

Adventure Tri Series - UK

Nova how are organising an adventure tri series for TV (ch5 and worldwide). They are looking for an Irish team of two male and two female Elites. I (Richard) have signed up for the series, so there are three spots available. All expenses are paid, flights, accomodation, food etc. Prize money goes down to 15th (1st is 1000 euro).

The first race is on the 23 July, the 2nd 20 Aug and the 3rd 1st Oct. Other European teams will be competing, as well as home nations.

The first race is 5 weeks away and Nova would like to be put things together asap. The team can change each race.

I can not stress that there is not much time if athletes wish to race. This is a great chance to gain some publicity for current and potential new sponsors. If you are interested contact Richard Brady [bradyr@KellyCollege.com]
