Rehula and Looze win in Tongyeong

In the men’s event, Sydney Olympic Medalist Jan Rehula came back showing off his splendid performance at the first triathlon as Korea national team coach. Canadian Brent McMahon came out of water first at the 1500m swim in 19:16. And then Dennis Looze(NED), Jan Celustka(CZE), Hosoda Yuichi(JPN), Jan Rehula(CZE) exited following Brent. They made lead pack in 40k 5 laps bike.
The leading pack extend more distance from the chase pack led by Dmitriy Gaag(KAZ), Dmitriy Smurov(KAZ), Martin Van Barneveld(NZL), Petr Bures(CZE).
In 10k 4 laps run, Jan Rehula kept his distance from Brent, and celebrate his win.

In the Women’s event, 5 women dove from the start platform. Eva Novakova(CZE) exit 1500m 2 laps swim course. Tracy Looze(NED), Lauren Groves(CAN) came out of water following Eva Novakova. It was simply expected that the competition will be between Tracy Looze(NED) and Lauren Groves(CAN). In Bike . Eva Novakova Tracy Looze, Lauren Groves made leading pack until 3 laps, but Eva Novakova left behind from 4 laps, she could not chase Tracy Loose and Lauren Groves. At the last lap Tracy Loose spot, Lauren Groves finished bike 1 minutes from Tracy. In the run segment, Tracy kept the distance from Lauren and win the race.
