Dear ITU guests and officials, athletes and friends

It is a great honour for South Africa to have been entrusted by the ITU with the responsibility of staging one of the 2007 legs of the World Cup series which will take place on 13th May in the beautiful coastal city of uMhlathuze, Richards Bay in the Kwa-Zulu-Natal Province, the ‘Kingdom of the Zulu’.

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee charged by the ITU and Triathlon South Africa to plan, organized, manage and present this important event, and all our partners and sponsors, I wish to extend a very warm welcome to each and everyone of you; we trust that your participation in this competition will be crowned with success and that you will enjoy the renowned hospitality of the City of uMhlathuze and of South Africa.

The LOC and the event staff worked very hard to ensure, not only an excellent event, but that your participation and visit will be a very memorable one.  We trust that this Info Guide will not only provide you with essential information on your participation, but that it will wet your appetite to take advantage of your visit to spend some days in holidaying in our beautiful country and to combine the good with the memorable!
