My name is Alexander Bozhilov, and I’m a 20-year-old triathlete and aquathlete from Sofia, Bulgaria, born on August 2nd, 2005. For the past 4–5 years, I’ve been recognised as a top Bulgarian triathlete, consistently competing at the highest levels while balancing academics and running.
I currently split my time between Bulgaria and Dallas, Texas, where I’m a sophomore at the University of Texas at Dallas. Alongside my studies, I compete in NCAA Division II Track & Field and Cross Country, further sharpening my endurance and racing ability.
I began as a swimmer at the age of 4, and over the years I’ve transitioned into triathlon and aquathlon, progressing from junior races to the elite field. My long-term ambition is to represent Bulgaria at the 2028 or 2032 Olympic Games in triathlon.
Beyond competing, I also coach and mentor the next generation of athletes together with my brother through our business, KosmoSTRI (www.kosmostri.com). We run a swim and triathlon team based in Texas, helping swimmers and triathletes of all ages develop their skills, train with structure, and reach their potential in the sport.
