At ITU, we are so lucky to work with some of the best triathlon photographer's in the world. Capturing events such as the World Triathlon Series, World Cups and the Multisport World Championships, their images showcase the beauty and power of our sport. So we are so pleased to draw the attention over to them and put them in the spotlight to allow them to share with triathlon fans across the globe what their favourite photos were from the 2017 season.
For the final week of photographer takeovers, we are so pleased to showcase the work of our very own ninja warrior: Delly Carr!
Delly Carr, based in Sydney Australia has been one of ITU's most esteemed official photographers for over three decades. His brilliance with a camera lens has elevated not only the sport of triathlon but in sports photography all over the world. He has been there since the beginning, shooting triathlon at its' debut at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and every single Olympic Games since. As a Nikon Ambassador, he delivers the highest quality of pictures at the highest-level of talent. In 2016 he was awarded the honour of Sport Photographer of the Year from the Australian Professional Photography Awards and that is only one of the long list of awards he has earned over the span of his career.
He truly is a ninja in front of the camera and his spirit in life for those who know him, shines as bright as his camera's flash!
Here is a collection of 25 photos that Delly has selected to showcase from the 2017 season. Enjoy the gallery and make sure to see his past, present and future work shared on the @worldtriathlon social media channels and follow Delly on Instagram and twitter @Dellyphotoninja.
