Foto ITU del Año 2012: resultado semana cuatro

2012 Photo of the Year Week Four Result

La cuarta definición del concurso de la Foto ITU del Año 2012 se da tras una dura lucha. Durante la mayor parte de la semana, las opiniones se debatían entre la celebración del alemán Jan Frodeno en la recta final y la largada femenina frente a los idílicos Alpes Austríacos, ambas tomas correspondientes al evento Mundial de Triatlón ITU Kitzbühel 2012.

Pero a último momento, fue la imagen de Igor Polyanskiy saliendo del agua la que se quedó con la foto de la semana.  Igor Polyanskiy, fotografiado junto a su hermano Dmitry Polyanskiy, lideró la salida del agua en dicha ocasión.

En la imagen, Igor sale del agua y parece una criatura mitológica lista para correr, algo que se dio en la realidad. La precisión en la posición de su mano muestra una transición practicada, mientras que el músculo flexionado y la amplitud de su torso exhiben toda la fuerza de Igor.
