ITU is looking for an Operations Manager

ITU Sport Department is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to fulfill the growing demands of ITU sport operations. If interested, please send your CV and letter of interest before November 30, 2018.

Position: Operations Manager
Salary/contractor fee: Negotiable (to commensurate with experience)
Location: Switzerland.

Nationality: Swiss citizen or holder of a valid working permit in Switzerland
Reports to: Head of Operations
Status: Permanent, part time
Start Date: January 2019

Job Description:
The successful applicant will be responsible for working closely with the Head of Operations:
ITU Multisport:

  • Bidding
  • Technical Operations:
    • Technical support/ quality management
    • Pre-event reporting coordination
    • Post-event reporting coordination
  • Co-Technical Delegate of the Multisport World Championships
  • EOM development

Staff liaison: ITU Multisport Committee

Requirements:

  • Experience in ITU multisport sports operations
  • Knowledge of sport and the Olympic movement is required
  • Project management ability
  • Strong work ethic and attention to quality and detail
  • Able to work independently and as a team member
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English
  • Computer (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)

Preferred Skills:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in sports management
  • Certified ITU Technical Official
  • Effective oral and written communication skills other than English, preferably Spanish or French or Chinese or Russian
  • Clear, logical thinker able to analyse requirements and propose pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to plan effectively, managing time of self and others
  • Makes decisions based on objective criteria
