World Triathlon

ITU and ASTC held an ITU Level 1 Technical Officials Seminar in Seoul to update officials on ITU changed rules and reinforce NTO’s officiating skills before the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in September.

Facilitator Melody Tan from Malaysia shared her knowledge and experience with 25 NTOs from Korea. The Korean Triathlon Federation selected the participants from the experienced Technical Officials who have been officiating more than three years in domestic and international events in Korea. Some of them will join the Asian Games as Technical officials and operating officials.

Melody expressed her satisfaction by saying that the participants were very proactive and cooperative during all the sessions.

Participants expressed that they had great opportunities to enhance their officiating skills and knowledge in practical sessions that required group tasks and that the seminar was enjoyable in the interactive mood Melody created by requesting all the participants to work as groups.

The next ITU-ASTC Sports Development project is the Chizou Junior Development Camp in China from June 12 to 17.
