Triathlon will make its debut in the 23rd edition of the South East Asian Games to conducted in Subic Bay, Phillippines on the 1st & 2nd December.

The Philippines are this year’s host of the SEA Games held every every 2 years and the addition of Triathlon into the Competition Program for these Games is a significant boost to the sport in the Region.

The Triathlon venue in Subic Bay is the same that Tom Carrasco and his Team from the Philippines Triathlon Assocaition host the ITU Continental Cup each year.  The venue will provide competitors with a safe and fast course while spectators will have the opportunity to witness most of the action with competitors regularly coming back through the well catered spectator area.

Countries represented in the Triathlon this year feature the host country Philippines, along with Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.  They will be joined by the latest addition to the Triathlon Family in Asia by Myanmar, formerly known as Burma.

The Women’s race will commence at 6.30am (local time) on the Thursday 1st December, followed by the Men’s event on the following day.
