El australiano Carl Fannon tuvo una actuación vertiginosa en su primera carrera del Campeonato Mundial Categoría por Edades ITU 2013. Con solo cuatro años de entrenamiento de triatlón en su haber, Fannon hizo el mejor tiempo en la carrera sprint masculina categoría 35-39. ¿Cómo te involucraste en el triatlón?

Comencé en 2010, pero solo para mantenerme en forma durante el verano, mientras no jugaba football semi-profesional.

¿Con qué frecuencia entrenas?
2 a 3 veces por día

¿Cuál es el mejor consejo de entrenamiento que has recibido?
Pienso que es el que dice que menos es más si se hace con constancia, y también me dijeron que hay que ser creativo al entrenar y con el manejo del tiempo.

¿Qué te motiva a correr?
Mi mayor motivación para competir es…DIVERSION!!!

Ejercicio de natación favorito:
4k de una sesión de natación continua para maximizar los tiempos (sin descanso)
1k - Calentamiento
1k - Aumentar el esfuerzo cada 100m - Los últimos 100m esprintando
1k - Remos y banda
1k - 200m sencillos 200m con dificultad

Ejercicio de ciclismo favorito:
Con entrenador Turbo o de viento - sesión de 1 hora
10mins de calentamiento
6 x 6mins de esfuerzo (30seg a esfuerzo máximo - 1,30mins a ritmo de carrera- 4mins con dificultad) Esfuerzo en posición TT en el Big Chain Ring y 53/11 con 1min de recuperación entre cada esfuerzo @ 90 rpm.
9min para volver a la calma

Ejercicio pedestre favorito:
sesión de 1 hora
20min de calentamiento
18min - ritmo de 1min @ 3,15 por km /  ritmo de 2mins @ 3:30 por km / ritmo de 3min @4.15 por km ( 3 veces )
10min @ 4mins por k
12min para volver a la calma
