World Triathlon

The 2022 Cross Triathlon, Cross Duathlon and Duathlon World Championships will take to the Romanian city of Targu Mures from 6-12 June, for a week packed with Elite, U23, Junior, Para triathlon, Mixed Relay, Age Group standard and Age Group sprint distance racing.

Targu Mures has strong experience hosting multisport events, having hosted 2019 the Multisport European Championships, as well as the Duathlon European Championships in 2021, 2019. The European Cross Triathlon Championships has been hosted in Targu Mures in 2016, 2017 and 2019.

Located in the Carpathian Mountains, the territory, also known for its Gothic castles and for being the home of Dracula, offer a territory full of natural beauties and amazing flora and fauna. The city has proven to be the epicentre of multisport activity for major events, welcoming friends and families.
