Biography

Sarah is a professional triathlete focusing on non-drafting olympic distance, half ironman triathlon and iron distance triathlon.

Originally from Adelaide, Sarah was selected as the only female to take part in the Australian Young Guns tour of Asia in July 2008. During this tour Sarah placed 1st Elite female at the 2008 Shichigahama ITU Continental Cup in Japan and 2nd at the 2008 Singapore ITU Continental Cup.  

At the Noosa triathlon in 2008 Sarah placed 3rd Elite female. Following Noosa, she podiumed and won a number of races before racing the 2009 ITU Oceania Championships on the Gold Coast where she won the Championship. In 2009, Sarah raced her first ITU World Cup at Mooloolaba and toured with an Elite Australian squad through Asia and Europe and competed in the Dextro Energy ITU World Championship Series.

In 2010 and 2011 Sarah turned her focus to running and cycling (participating on the National Road Series) with a view to switching to non-drafting triathlon. She returned to triathlon racing in 2012 winning the Cairns 70.3 in June 2012. Since Cairns Sarah has raced and won a number of half ironman events and competed at the 5150 triathlon final and the 70.3 world championships.

In 2016 Sarah commenced working with coach Cameron Watt and headed to Kona, Hawaii, for the World Championships for the first time. After placing 4th in both her debut Ironman and second Ironman. Sarah finished 2016 winning the Bahrain Middle East Ironman 70.3 Championship.

In 2017 Sarah stepped it up a notch improving her swim and strengthening her bike. This led to winning the Australian Long Course Championship and both the Asia Pacific Ironman Championships in Cairns Australia and the European Ironman Championships in Frankfurt Germany.

- Winner at the 2017 Penticton ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships;
- Winner of the 2014 AUS Duathlon National Championships;
- Winner of the 2014 Adelaide OTU Duathlon Oceania Championships; and  
- 8th place at the 2015 Adelaide ITU Duathlon World Championships.
