Athlete Biography
Derek Oskutis is on the fast track to success on the Professional ITU Triathlon Circuit. As a member of USAT’s Olympic Development Team for 2016, he has the potential to one day represent the United States at the Olympic Games.
However, Oskutis is more than a professional triathlete. As an officer in the United States Navy, Oskutis represents tomorrow’s future through his leadership, knowledge, and experience. He currently is leading twenty five sailors through EOD school, the military’s most demanding pipeline. At USNA, Oskutis successfully lead twenty-one members of the U.S. Naval Academy Triathlon Team to the team’s fourth National Championship title. He volunteers his time in the community by helping the Swim for Smiles Youth Triathlon Team and the Annapolis Triathlon Club.
