Athlete Biography
First took up triathlon as a personal challenge back in 1999 as an able bodied athlete. My father is an accomplished 10km runner, and he has had the most influence on my sporting career. During a typical training week, I swim for two hours, bike for six, and run for two. My personal best swim time (750m) is 18:23, bike (20km) 44:52, and run (5km) 14:13. My favorite ITU race was London.
My biggest obstacle overcome in life has been learning to use a wheelchair. Something the triathlon world may not know about me is that I HATE cycling in the rain. My triathlon goal is a medal at the Paralympics.
