Graduated cum laude in Field, Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Environmental Studies, Harvard University, 1996. Married Deirdre K. (Milligan) Shearer, former 10-Kilometer Track and Field All-American at Dartmouth College, November 2000. Daugher Ainsley J. Shearer born August 2002. Graduated summa cum laude, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, University of Florida, April 2004. Daugher Zoe K. Shearer born March 2005. Joined Army ROTC while pursuing a Master of Civil Engineering Degree, and enlisted in Florida National Guard, August 2005.”
