My sister started to do triathlon, and I really liked it, so when I was 13 I did my first triathlon and knew that it was the sport for me. My sister has definitely had the most influence of anyone on my sporting career; my is my example in everything, and I’m proud of her and train to be like her. I also have a family history in sport, as my dad was a basketball player and is now a coach and teacher; he started to train my sister and I when we were young.
I currently train in Zacatecas, and during a typical training week I do 15 hours of swimming, six hours of cycling, and six hours of running. My personal best swim time (1500m) is 20:02, bike (40km) 1:05, and run (10km) 38:47. My favorite ITU race has been Huatulco because is has perfect inclines that show the real mind power that an athlete must possess. My triathlon goals are to one day be the best in the world, win an Olympic gold medal, and maybe be one of the best triathletes in history.
The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome is the death of my best friend in an accident, and the deaths of team members, as well.
Something that the triathlon world may not know about me is that I love to write about anything and everything, and I love my feet.
