As well as studying a PhD in sports psychology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT, United States, he has a degree in physical education and sports administration from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. Also, he has a degree in mathematics and secondary education from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.
