Athlete Biography
I first took up triathlon in 2008 when I was tired of being a swimmer, and felt like I could excel at triathlon. My younger sister is a swimmer. The people who have had the most influence on my sporting career are my coaches, Mr. Jung and Hyun Soo. The biggest obstacle that I have overcome is being mostly deaf in one ear.
I currently train in Daejeon, and in an average training week, I swim 8 hours, bike 250 km, and run 80 km. My personal best swim time (1500m) is 18:00, bike (40km) 58:00, and run (10km) 36:00. In 2009 I participated in the ITU U23/Junior Camp. My favorite ITU race is the World Championship, because all of the best athletes compete, and I can see how I compare.
My triathlon goal is an Olympic gold medal.
