Athlete Biography

I first took up triathlon when I was a freshman in high school. I have a family background in sport, as my brother is a pentathlete. The person who has had the most influence on my sporting career is my father.

I currently train in Seoul, and during a typical training week I do nine hours of swimming, 12 hours of cycling, and six hours of running. As well as individual triathlon, I also participate in team relay tri. My triathlon goal is an Olympic gold. The biggest obstacle I have overcome is an injury in 2009.
