Athlete Biography
Matthew became a triathlete in 1999 to compete against and beat his sister. Growing up in the country he did not have access to a swimming pool, but he moved near a beach later in life and learned how to swim. Shortly after, he met Barb Lindquist and spent two summers in the US training and racing. Matthew can now be found competing for the German club TV Hemgo and racing on the BG World Cup circuit.
