2013 Kish Island ITU Level 1 Club Coaches Course

Course objectives: ITU Level 1 Club Coaches course is for entry level participants aimed at teachers, community leaders, coaches working with kids and youth in sport. It provides a broad overview of coaching, roles and responsibilities, teaching methodologies, sport-specific information and holistic topics (nutrition, sport psychology, growth and development, physical literacy).
Course Outline:
• See the attached schedule.
• We’ll have two days of sport specific classroom work.
• Two days of practical work including coaching skills and program design.
• Pool and track sessions.
• Bring a notebook and pen every day.
• Bring your swim, bike and run equipment. Bikes are NOT required.

Evaluation:
Candidates will be evaluated on class attendance and participation.
Candidates must pass the examination to get the ITU citification.

All applicants for the course must complete the attached application form and return it via email to me at - tri@triathlon.or.kr before 1 May, 2013

We look forward to working with everyone and making coaching education a priority in the development of a structure to support the athlete development pipeline in the ITU coaching course.

The ASTC will provide accommodation (3 rooms - double occupancy), ground transportation and food for 6 participants from overseas. Additional participants are welcome to register but will have to fund their living expenses.
