Winter triathlon involves a run, mountain bike and cross country ski (langlauf) – all on snow. Course distances are set on the day to achieve a winning time of around 80-90 minutes, after taking account of the snow conditions. New challenges are presented and wonderful opportunities are there for those seeking the next multisport horizon.

The last World Championships tool place in Cogne, Italy in 2014.

The 2016 Edition will take place in Zeltweg in Austria, from 12 to 14 February 2016. Please see the attached video for more information:

For novice Age Group athletes, it is certainly recommended to learn how to balance and propel oneself on cross-country skis. Opportunities can be found wherever there are langlauf pistes via the relevant continental langlauf or Nordic ski associations.
