Africa Triathlon Union elects new president

The Africa Triathlon Union recently elected a new president to its federation. Ahmed Nasser will now take the helm of the triathlon organization.

Following the election, Nasser said that he is honored and privileged to be the President of the African continental triathlon federation. He commented that hopes his dream to have 53 African countries as part of the ATU and ITU family will come true by the end of his term. Nasser, along with eight representatives, will form the Executive Board.

President:  Ahmed Nasser (Egypt)
Vice President:  Lanre Glover (Nigeria)
Treasurer:  Pierre Raolina (Madagascar)
Secretary:  Alain St. Louis (Mauricious)
Female representative:Gloria Abimbola (Nigeria)
Additional Member:  Mohamed Wanis (Egypt)
Additional Member:  Rick Fulton (Zimbawe)
Additional Member:  Rachid Benani (Morocco)
Additional Member:  Rodrigo Rocha (Mozambique)

Prior to the elections, amendments to the Constitution were also approved. Additionally, former ATU President Liesbeth Stoltz was elected honorary president of ATU and thanked all the members for their years of hard work and wishes success to the new Executive Board.
