In our latest round-up from the world of cyberspace, we scoured the athlete’s blogs, Tweets and Facebook updates to bring you the best of what our international athletes are saying and doing.

ITU’s athletes headed to Ishigaki last weekend, and got a little fright from a small earthquake while they were there.

@K3Sport Kirsten Sweetland
Just felt an earthquake! High up in the hotel was a scary place to be!

Ireland’s Gavin Noble had his own unique way of dealing with the situation.

@gavontwitt Gavin Noble

Tweet of the week. japanese tv versus 3 dudes around an old school beat box having a ‘robot dance off’ on the street corner - only 1 winner (or 3 in this case)
@gavontwitt Gavin Noble

However, there was more to Ishigaki than just the tremor and the racing….

@K3Sport Kirsten Sweetland
Traditional Ishigaki karaoke night was just what the doctor ordered!

Of course let’s not forget about the athletes who did all the hard work to get themselves on the podium.

@usatriathlon - USAT
Did you know? @hunterkemper is the @USAToday Olympic Athlete of the Week for his win in Ishigaki this past weekend: http://goo.gl/xlHSQ

There were some great videos posted recently and we’ve brought you two of our favourite. Peter Croes put forward his nomination to be crowned ITU ‘roller king’ with this amazing performance on his rollers.

This drew some respect from the other athletes who chimed in with their comments.

@bevanjdocherty Bevan Docherty

Sydney winner Paula Findlay came second in the Vancouver 10 KM Sun Run, posting her personal best of 33.47.  Race winner Lucy Njeri from Kenya, had a unique way of congratulating Paula on her second place.

@PaulaFindlay Paula Findlay
Kenyan girl who beat me in the Sun Run, after finding out that I was a triathlete: “That’s why you have big legs!” haha… thanks?

In other parts of the world, ITU’s top athletes are enjoying some time at home to continue their training for the season ahead.

@GOSticksy Brad Kahlefeldt

Arh the joys of riding in the country -4 hrs, 5 cars, 4 trucks, 1000 sheep 800 cattle and a block headwind all the way home

@bevanjdocherty Bevan Docherty
My girls about 2 go training!

@AliBrownleetri Alistair Brownlee
Views, deserted roads, a few hills and even a little sunshine

Finally….we hope Stuary Hayes can concentrate on his training and not his new car.
