Athlete Anti-doping Survey Part 4

by World Triathlon Admin on 18 Jun, 2009 12:01

Recently, ITU elite athletes had an opportunity to take part in an Anti-doping Survey. This survey will serve to shape ITU’s Anti-doping programme for the next few years.  Last week, we revealed questions to do with the number of times an athlete had been tested.  We will continue with questions regarding athlete perceptions this week.  There were 132 responses.

1. Do you think triathlon is a clean sport?
Yes – 58%
No – 40%
Undecided – 2%

2. In your opinion, what percentage of ITU elite athletes is currently drug-free?
(Because of rounding up, the number is higher than 100%. Also, if an athlete put a range, then the middle of the range was counted. Only percentages that got a vote are listed.)
