A guide to correct pedalling technique
There’s no doubt about it – training is key to a successful triathlon race. After all, if you don’t have the endurance to back up a two-hour event, that hill on the bike course will suddenly feel like you’re climbing Kilimanjaro.
However, an equally important yet often overlooked area of preparation for triathlons is mastering bike mechanics. Logging hours on the bike with poor technique is not only counterproductive to your endurance, it can actually leave you injured and frustrated at the end of the season.
Watch this video for tips on getting the perfect pedal stroke and best bike position. When you’ve mastered that, put your skills to the test at a World Triathlon Series event.
