The Championships will be opened on Friday February 9th by Liechtenstein’s deputy prime-minister Dr. Klaus Tschütscher. On Saturday the elite, U23- and junior races take place . Defending champions are Alf Roger Holme from Norway and Sigrid Mutscheller from Germany. Defending the titles won’t be easy as two double world champions, namely Benjamin Sonntag of Germany and Sigi Bauer of Austria will show up in the men’s field. In the women’s field Sigrid Mutscheller is the favourite but last year’s race winner Carina Wasle from Austria and Sweden’s Eva Nystrom can take the win too. On Sunday there will be a national team relay race in the morning and an age group race in the afternoon. Entry deadline is February 5th.
