The ITU is proud to announce that we have appointed a new communications manager to help grow the sport of triathlon. Paula Kim joins the International Triathlon Union’s team as communications manager after six years in various roles at a number of Canadian broadcasters.  She began her career at TSN’s “Off the Record”, then worked at WTSN as an Associate Producer, and returned to TSN to work in the newsroom for “Sportscentre”.
Paula worked a wide range of sports while at TSN including tennis, golf, hockey, figure skating, football, baseball and basketball, and this intimate knowledge of sport and media will help her in her role to grow the sport in the eyes of the global media.  She also produced many segments for WTSN’s daily coverage of the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympics.
Paula has also worked with the Toronto Raptors’ media relations department assisting on game nights.  As a writer, she was a columnist for TSN.ca, Hockey Now, and a freelance features writer for Hockey Canada.  Paula holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Ryerson University and was the recipient of the Toronto Sun Award, which is given to the best sports journalist in the graduating class.
We welcome her to the ITU family and her presence is already being felt in the small but dedicated media team.
