ITU Winter Triathlon in S. Hemisphere.

Will the Southern Hemisphere winter triathletes be competitive with the more established athletes from the North? Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand all host ITU Winter triathlon series events in the next month. The Southern Hemisphere season starts in Ushuaia, Argentina on August 26, followed by Queenstown New Zealand on September 2, and concluding with the ITU Hotham Oceania Winter Triathlon Championships in Australia on September 9. 

Race 1. 2006 ITU Ushuaia Winter Triathlon South American Championships, Argentina.
- 8km run, a 12km bike ride and 10km cross country ski.


Race 2. 2006 Queenstown ITU Winter Triathlon, New Zealand
- 7km run, 12km bike ride and 10km cross country ski.


Race 3. 2006 ITU Hotham Oceania Winter Championships, Australia
- 6km run, a 10km bike ride and an 8km cross country ski.
