- ITU Winter Triathlon World Cup - Liechtenstein
The Liechtenstein Triathlon Federation is looking forward to welcome athletes from abroad to this spectacular race in the very heart of Liechtenstein. There is enough snow so that the racecourse will be on snow according to the rules. Athletes should book their rooms as soon as possible. Also the organisers would like to encourage the National Federations to make their athletes aware of the race and support their top athletes to go to the race. All information about the race can be found on: www.triathlon.org and www.frostman.li.

- ITU Winter Triathlon European Championships Italy
A great event, which will take place the first weekend of March in Schilpario, near Bergamo. It will be the first edition of the Winter Triathlon Scalve Valley and it will also be valid for the European Championships 2006. A relatively new event, that lives under the protection of ITU (International Triathlon Union) and in which the Italian athletes are beyond doubt in the first line. In fact, Alessandro De Gasperi has to defend the European title won last winter in Germany. With him and other Italian athletes (for exemple Giuliana Lamastra, ex racing cyclist and biker in the Giro dItalia who goad in the winter event for her own ambitions) the public will become enthusiast for a discipline, which is extremely spectacular. Promoters of Friesian Team and Promoeventi Sport worked together and planned 2 days of competitions dictated by a will of enthusiasm but also of plenty of participation. Saturday, March 4, 2006 will be dedicated to the most important trials: Elite, Under 23 and Junior while on Sunday, March 5, 2006 will take place the relay race where teams consist of 3 contestants will in turn accomplish the Mini Winter Triathlon (2.3Km-run, 4Km-mountain bike and 3,3Km cross-country ski). The Age Group will conclude the programme. The organisation is already working in Schilpario to prepare a quality event thanks to the Friesian Team experience in the realisation of multidisciplinary events and thanks to the significant and precious contribution of Promoeventi Sport, a society, which apply himself to the promotion of Bergamos Valleys through the organisation of sport events.
The National Federations have to send their entries for the event as soon as possible!
