Helen Jenkins, the reigning women’s world champion from Britain, will be amongst the starters for the sixth stop-over of the Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championships Series on 15 August at London’s Hyde Park.

During a glitzy Park Lane launch this month Helen talked to UK-based media about the thrill of racing on the 2012 venue and the boost expected from a home crowd.

A strong field is anticipated, for the UK Sport supported event as the world’s top triathletes get a taste of the next Olympic venue in an event due to be televised by the BBC.

Organisers Upsolut are also expecting to welcome more than 2,000 amateur triathletes to race in the footsteps of the elite field on 16 August.

Entries are now open at www.triathlon-wcs-london.org.
Age Group participants will be invited to back the event’s official charity by raising money at the same time for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Triathlon will also press home its potential Paralympic credentials with a paratriathlon during the weekend.
