Paratriathlon Lead Coach Ireland

by Triathlon Ireland on 21 May, 2014 05:07

Triathlon Ireland is looking for a person to lead the development of the Paratriathlon Programme for Ireland.

It is an incredible opportunity to develop a programme from a blank canvas and make a real difference to the sport of triathlon and in particular paratriathlon. The successful applicant will have to develop the long-term strategy, design and build a programme to deliver that strategy and implement the programme.

Paratriathlon has been accepted into the Paralympic programme with the debut event in Rio 2016. This position is an exciting new role for a highly motivated person with the ability to develop a programme and squad of paratriathletes with medal potential at International competitions and particularly in the Paralympic Games.

The post will require a person who can maximise what is currently a modest budget to best effect. It is a role that subject to funding could develop under the right candidate to a full time position but is being advertised in the first instance as a part time.

The key performance measure for the program is the delivery of medals at the Paralympic Games, ETU Championships and ITU World Championships.

The post is currently being offered on a part time basis of 16 hrs per week.
Remuneration for this exciting opportunity is between €17k-€20K plus reasonable expenses depending on experience.

Applications for the post should be submitted, with a CV and short covering letter explaining why you feel that you are the right person for the role, to Caradh O’Donovan via email or by post to Triathlon Ireland, Unit 2E, Glencormack Business park, Kilmacanogue Co. Wicklow.

The closing date for applications is close of business Friday 6th June 2014.
