The ITU Technical Education Programme is wrapping up for 2011, but not before another successful course in Eilat, Israel just before the U23 Triathlon European Championships and ITU Triathlon European Cup.

Sixteen technical officials from Israel and Ukraine attended the Level I Course on 28 October, led by Paul Groves from Great Britain. A greater level of discussion was achieved throughout the course with examples used to illustrate points, to evaluate actions and to promote discussion.  After the seminar all participants officiated at the U23 European titles and European cup and had a variety of roles to better use the availability of a real race.

The invitational ITU Technical Officials Level III Course, the last event of the ITU Technical Education Programme this year will be held in Budapest from December 1 to 4. For more information on the ITU Technical Education Programme and the technical officials’ certification, please visit here.
