It’s a big weekend in Mooloolaba and Australian triathlon royalty have come out to see the current stars battle it out for the first BG Triathlon World Cup title of the year.

Former world champions Emma Carney, Loretta Harrop and Jackie Fairweather (formerly Gallagher) are all in Mooloolaba to take in Sunday’s race.  Between the three women, they own 35 world cup titles, 4 world championships and an Olympic silver medal.  Fairweather is the current coach of Aussie Olympic contender Annabel Luxford.

Three-time world champion Emma Snowsill is looking to repeat in Mooloolaba after last year’s impressive win over rival Vanessa Fernandes.  Snowsill took some time out at the beach with partner Craig Walton, who recently announced his retirement from competitive triathlon.  He now focuses on helping train and prepare Snowsill for the Beijing Olympics.
